Pamarthe, The Crucible, circa. 14 BBY.
The salt wind eased that afternoon. Seonac walked the cliff paths, overlooking the coast of Dath and the wider Crucible beyond. The absurdities and excitement of the last few days had taken their toll, and the Inquisitor might yet track them down. But for now all they could do was wait for news and try to enjoy a few days’ peace. He may not have returned to Pamarthe since the Clone Wars had ended, but not through lack of fondness for home. He breathed in the tang of salt and seaweed and smiled. There were few burdens that a sea breeze and sunshine couldn’t make lighter.
PT-77 ambled behind. It had been 2,183 rotations since he had seen Seonac, so the boy must have just forgotten how much the little droid hated the salt air. He had crystals building up in all sorts of awkward crevices. Still, as long as the boy was happy that was one less thing to fix around here.
Postcards From Pamarthe is a series of art and micro-story postcards created to mark the project launch of the The Last Edge. We plan to hand out some physical copies at Star Wars Celebration Europe in 2023.
